Is it safe to travel to Los Algodones or Mexico in general?
We understand Mexico has had its history and has earned its stereotypes over time, however we can assure you especially Los Algodones is one of the safest towns to travel to. You will be received with a grand amount of hospitality and friendliness.
Do I need my passport to visit Los Algodones?
To enter into Mexico you are not required to show Mexican officials your passport, however once going back into the United States it is recommended to have your passport handy, since using Drivers License or ID will get you a warning or a hassle in customs if you pretend do go back with no passport.
How far is everything from the border?
Los Algodones is a small very small town in which the main area consist in about 3 main streets which cover not many small blocks where everything is distributed. Long story short everything here is walking distance. Our clinic is only 2 blocks away from the border.
Should I walk out the border or drive out the border?
If you have never come out to Los algodones there is a Casino on the American side where people tend to pay the parking and leave there vehicle for the day and walk out to get normal dental treatments done. However this varies from case to case if your dental treatment is longer it depends on you if you plan on staying in a hotel on the Mexican side or cross back and forth. On the Mexican side your vehicle is safe in the hotel parking or if you park in a private parking which is normally 2—3 USD per day. In summary it depends if your required to stay for your treatment.
What are the payment methods?
Here our payment methods are mainly Cash in US dollars, Credit or debit cards are welcome however when you pay the terminal will apply a 5% fee, we also accept personal checks in case you dont feel comfortable to carry cash on you.
